Antiquing in Hawaii
Sometimes Cadillac takes a day off so we can get some “alone time” without paying for a babysitter. This “alone time day,” I said I didn’t want to go snorkeling again. I mean, I like snorkeling, but it’s getting cold. The water’s only 75 degrees, for the love of God! Hee hee. (In San Diego…

Scouting for Spearfishing
I peered over the edge. Very nice, except that there were more huge waves crashing into the pool every few minutes and pulling more sealife back out to sea. “If you fall in there,” I said, “I won’t be able to get you.”

My friend drove me through Kaimuki, a modern neighborhood near downtown, and pointed out several haunted houses on the street where she…

The Wild Ones
I have a lot of hair. By a lot, I mean that every time I go to a hairdresser– even the same one I’ve been going to for years– he or she remarks, “You have more hair than anyone I’ve ever seen!” The floor is covered in what looks like reproducing Tribbles.

Secret Beaches of Oahu
There’s more to Oahu than Waikiki. We’ve been slowly discovering some lesser-used beaches. A hiking path near the lighthouse (not sure of the name, but it faces Sea Life Park and Waimanalo) forks into three roads. One goes up, two go down. We took one that went down.
