For the past few years, I’ve had the admittedly “rich people’s problem” of having a DSLR. It’s heavy, I hit small children in the head with it, and it markedly cut down on my Disneyland and other trips’ pleasures. Not to mention the nose squishing caused by looking through a viewfinder.
So I was pleased when my pop gave me some birthday monies in February and I was able to skedaddle over to Costco, where I purchased the Lumix on sale. (This, of course, being before the Great Layoff Debacle.)
It takes great pics. It’s got a 10X optical zoom (most small cameras have like a 3X or 4X zoom, or a digital zoom, which is grainy), 9.1 megapixels for great quality, and even a movie camera. Not too shabby, my dear.
