Shopping: Nomorerack

These days there are multiple sites where you sign up to be a member (usually free) and then get daily deals emailed to you. Nomorerack is one of those close-out sites with lots of bargains. The site sent me a gift card and I used it to check it out. Membership here is also free; you just sign up on the website with an email address.

The best deals are what they call “Insanity Deals” which go fast. Right now, they have Stri-Vectin eye cream & serum for $35 instead of $140. They also have an Android netbook for $79 which, come to think of it, we will probably get as we’ve been looking for a cheap tablet or netbook for the kids.

There are several things I like about the site. I like how you can view different promotions by hovering over the “ALL” button at the top. This groups the discounts into different categories. I like the “insanity” deals and the fact they add new ones every day. Shipping is generally $2 per item.

However, it’s sometimes difficult to find what you’re looking for. I was looking for a blouse just now,and I couldn’t find a “tops” category. When I went to “women,” I selected the option of viewing everything from least expensive to most and only saw a couple of tops. I know they have more tops, because I saw them in another section. That part could be worked out.

I ordered a blue top (not pictured), a bracelet, and socks.

The bracelet is made of real freshwater pearls, some flat, and I believe stainless steel. It cost $28. Honestly, I would have been disappointed if I’d used $28 on this. The lobster clasp is a little small for the links, so the clasp doesn’t slide up properly. But it is still a cute bracelet.

I got the socks for my daughter and she was pleased.

My blouse came out well, too– it’s a blue blouse and has a drawstring tie around the waist, with 3/4 peplum sleeves. I’d find it but I think my husband put it in my daughter’s drawer, and I have to dig it out.

If you poke around the nomorerack site, you’ll find many good back to school deals, like iPhone charging kits, sheets, and art sets. I’m def going to buy again, especially if I know the manufacturer. The best deal I saw the other day was 7 for Mankind jeans for like $42 (they retail for over $100, more like $150 I think) but they sold out of my size while I was clicking between pages (sidenote: why do these jean companies have names like they’re the Peace Corps? Citizens of Humanity. Seven for All Mankind.) They also have a lot of sheet sets. You just have to keep checking back.
