I found this among some books that came from my mother-in-laws effects. She and her husband were in Yokohama where he was managing port facilities for the army. It appears to be a very old copy, perhaps a first edition. It had a half dozen cut out recipes tucked in the pages for various triumphs of the 50s housewife. She was a Betty Crocker cook. Overcooked vegetables, dry meat, no spice please!
The dust jacket is long gone, the cover is in sad shape but it appears to have all the pages.
Do you have any idea how many of these were printed? This one appears to have been printed the year Mary and I were born. That’s old!

I have no idea how many were printed, but it went through several editions.
Margaret, Do you know any sources to find a paperback edition?
No. I just looked on eBay and amazon for mine.
