Dear Margaret, I LOVED your book, How to Be an American Housewife! As the author of The White House Doctor- My Patients were Presidents: A Memoir (published last year, St Martin’s Press), the highest praise I can offer a a fellow author is, “I couldn’t put your book down!” You are a brilliant and gifted author! Please keep writing! We also share roots. I was a Navy brat too (Dad was a steward in the US Navy), went to high school and college in San Diego (Mar Vista 1973, UCSD 1977) . Was a Navy doctor for 24 years: did my internship and residency at Balboa Naval Hospital (1981-82, 1984-86) so I wonder if I ever saw your mother in my clinic in those days. Please send me a mailing address so I can send you a copy of my book. Thanks for writing such a beautiful story. All the best, Connie Mariano
THANK YOU. You’ve made my night! (And weekend) Will be e-mailing you shortly.
